Laura & Ryan’s Rustic Southern Wedding is filled with some many wonderful personal details representing their love of the outdoors.
These love birds met their senior year at Virginia Tech. They had been assigned a group project together and Ryan hosted most of the meetings at his townhouse. More and more Laura started staying after the meetings to hangout, eventually they started doing everything together, hiking, fishing and even biking. A few years later they were on a beautiful vacation in the Florida Keys. unbeknownst to Laura, Ryan had been planning to ask her to marry him, he had even asked her dad for her hand a few months earlier. On their last night in Florida once her parents had went to sleep, Ryan asked Laura to join him on the balcony where he popped the big question. Laura was completely surprised!
For their wedding Laura & Ryan chose Hermitage Hill Farm for its beautiful rustic setting and the deep connection they share with horses, the venue fit them perfectly. Laura wanted a rustic casual theme depicting their style as a couple. It was important for them to have as little stress as possible following up to their big day and the day of, she wanted to make sure that everyone was going to have a wonderful, fun time. The top three essential details were food, photography & videography, they are so happy with their decision to really focus on those details which will have a lasting memory. Plus everyone really loved the catering!
Laura was positively gorgeous in her strapless lace gown & fingertip veil, her bridal bouquet featured ivory roses and pretty foliage. Her lovely ladies wore teal knee length dresses starring a shear neckline. Ryan and his groomsmen perfectly matched sporting gray suits and long teal ties. You can really see all the rustic touches throughout their reception decor. Birch vases filled with lush blooms were used as centerpieces, cute burlap Mr. & Mrs. signs were used on the sweetheart table & the adorable escort cards featured a tree trunk design with their initials stamped inside a heart. We loved their scrumptious wedding cake wrapped in teal ribbon, embellished with initials and topped with carved wooden slices displaying their wedding day & Happily Ever After.
A little rain definitely didn’t stop them from taking unforgettable outdoor wedding portraits, clear umbrellas kept this bridal party dry and picture perfect ready. Ryan loves to tinker on anything mechanical, making this vintage mustang the perfect accessory to pose with.
We really enjoyed being able to make their Rustic Southern Wedding such an event to remember!
