Emily and Paul began their love story by a chance meeting at a mutual friends birthday brunch. Funny enough the two had actually gone to the same college at the same time and also lived in the Washington DC area but had never ran into one another. Needless to say this brunch changed their lives for the better. Emily had noticed Paul while at the brunch and thought that he was someone’s new boyfriend, but after chatting with him she found out he was single and quite interesting. That evening Emily remembers talking to her friend and thinking that the guy she had met earlier that day could be “the one”.
Finally the day came when Paul wanted to take their relationship to the next level, he was ready to ask the “big question”. However his plans didn’t get as he had hoped. After a few failed attempts of trying to get Emily to accompany him to view the extremely early sunrise by the Lincoln Memorial he changed his tactics a bit and asked her to go to the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. Once they were there Emily said that Paul began to act slightly strange, when they were next the pond Paul turned around and suddenly said, “Will you marry me?”, but had no ring in his hand. Emily responded with a, “yes of course, one day”, he then realized he wasn’t holding the ring. He finally pulled the ring out, proposed and Emily said, “yes”. That evening they spent time eating a fantastic dinner & enjoying each others company under the night sky.
Emily & Paul were married at Khimaira Farm in Luray Virginia. They chose this stunning outdoor venue for it’s beautiful scenery and because the owners were so thoughtful & prepared. For their big day they went for a fun and casual theme, incorporating thing that they both loved. Good food, good music & absolutely no worries were the most important things and they definitely were not disappointed! Their amazing team of vendors really pulled together their dream wedding. You can truly see the excitement in their eyes.
